Installing Valarea Room on existing Room systems (MTR or Zoom room hardware)

It is your responsibility to verify the correct use of third party software licenses on your room hardware. Valarea is not responsible for any damage or configuration not working properly or for the lack of support by hardware or software of third parties. Those who use this guide are solely responsible for any changes made to the software of their device.

Option 1) Preserving Windows 10 OS supplied with the Room system (eg MTR). A Windows 10 Enterprise license is required.

If your MTR system is brand new:
  • connect hardware cables as described by the OEM vendor
  • connect a keyboard and a mouse
  • power-on the system and wait for the following screen to appear
  • press "Exit"
  • select the Administrator user and enter the password (default password: "sfb")
  • press the Start button, type "netplwiz" and press Enter to open the "User Accounts" settings
  • select the Admin user and deselect the "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" flag

  • restart the system and wait for the auto-login as Administrator to be done automatically
  • open the Windows 10 Settings, select Family & other users, select "Skype" and press Remove.

Important notices
1) Set the small monitor of the MTR as a secondary display
MTR manufacturers may have set a registry key to set the MTR's small display as the primary. You must remove this key to prevent the system from setting the small monitor as primary on every reboot. The registry key is located in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
For Poly MTR
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\ULCCPrimary Delete the string: ULCCPrimary Value: "c:\Rigel\oem\polydisplaymanager.exe"
For Lenovo ThinkCenter Hub
2) Set the same dpi on all connected displays
It is very important to set the same dpi on each connected display. The small display must have a lower resolution than the large display.
3) Touch configuration for small and other connected touch displays
  • Open the Windows Control Panel and select Tablet PC Settings
  • Press Setup and choose Touch Input
  • Tap on the display on which you are asked to tap ("Touch this screen to identify it as touchscreen"). If it is not a touchscreen, press [Enter].
  • Press [Enter] when asked.
  • Repeat for each connected monitor: Tap the touchscreen you are prompted to tap ("Tap this screen to identify it as a touchscreen"). If it is not a touchscreen, press [Enter].
  • Restart the computer and check if touch still works on both screens (touch on both screens cannot be used at the same time).
