Fixing Miracast Issue with some Wifi Chipsets
APPLY THIS FIX ONLY IF YOU HAVE ISSUE WITH MIRACAST IN DUAL BAND MODE
Normally wi-fi drivers are set in "automatic band selection mode for 2.4Ghz/5Ghz" and sometimes for bugs of chipset makers, Miracast does not work properly.
Try the following configuration for your Wi-fi adapter card to help fix this issue.
This optimisation only works on some wi-fi adapter that support the "preferred band" function.
Go to Windows Settings -> Networking & Internet
Select WiFi Adapter -> Right Click -> Properties
Select “CONFIGURE”
If available -> Choose 2.4GHz as the preferred Band and save configuration
Native Windows Miracast Configuration
Windows Settings -> Home -> System -> Projecting to this PC
Disable Windows Power Saving
Go to Windows Settings -> Home -> System -> Power & Sleep
