Here are the steps you need to follow to correctly install the Valarea POD™ software on any Windows 10 device equipped with a microphone and webcam.
To install the Valarea POD™ application, please follow the instructions below:
Download latest build of Valarea POD™ from valarea.com/download or from the download link provided by your reseller.
Run the program installer as Administrator
Follow instructions during the installation.
Complete the installation and run Valarea POD configurator wizard.
Enter your license key when requested. Don't have a key? Press “Activate Trial 30 Days” and start a full version in trial mode.
Follow the instructions and set your preferences.
Application Set up
Running Valarea config wizard your will be prompted to choose the languages of the Valarea POD™ UI.
You’re prompted to insert your license key then press the activate button, if you haven’t a license key you can try POD for free for 30 days by pressing the start 30 days trial button
The following disclaimer inform the end-user that 3rd parties applications must be pre-installed on the HUB. (i.e. Microsoft Office 2016 or o365, AV conference applications, PDF viewer and customers custom/proprietary applications that want to be published into the UI of Valarea POD™)
Room name – Is the name When clients are connecting via wireless display protocols or through the Valarea App, they'll see room names in close proximity. Choose a name for the POD, avoid to use special characters (like # @ ! etc..).
Choose the perfect experience that match your hardware setup (with active pen or just touchscreen)
Select a default AV application for “instant meeting”
Configure an office365 room account of your organization for displaying calendar booking information of your display equipped with Valarea POD™ by pressing the “Sign in” button and follow the wizard to insert your credential
Or enable the “on premise” flag to insert credentials for your on-premise installation
Set a valid SMTP system and credential for sending automatic recap (optional setting)
Protect and prevent misconfiguration after a setup. Set a password to enter into Valarea POD™ settings.
Choose a default time slot for your instant meeting session. The default booking information shall set automatically on your room mailbox of your o365 or Exchange on-prem servers.
Enabling the “use Valarea corporate server” option you’ll be prompted to insert your on-premise server name
By enabling/disabling the following flag you’ll receive a notification if there’s some wrong settings on POD.
By setting Kiosk mode “active” the system will apply a lock-down mode of OS and prevent any access to the Windows 10 operating system.
Digital Signage: If you want to set an HTLM5 application as default home screen of your display during stand-by mode of your Valarea POD™ application.
Set “ON” if you want to auto-start the application after a reboot, set “ON” the planned reboot and select when it will be planned (suggested every night)
Wireless Display Settings : Choose Airserver ON if you want always available the wireless display projections for that display. Or choose “dependent on running session” if you want to activate wireless protocols only after Join or instant session. “Full Screen Windows” is a preference that set Full screen wireless display device or just a floating windows on your Valarea POD™ UI.
For interface customization you can Insert your desired logo and background
Use Export configuration if you want to generate a script file for large deployments of several Valarea POD™ in your Organization.
Press finish, reboot the system (suggested) and wait Valarea POD™ boot after OS startup.
Advancend settings: More settings are available when Valarea POD™ is running. Press the gear on bottom Right of the UI and wait the settings panel window.
