Installing Valarea POD on MTR systems

Intalling Valarea POD on a brand new MTR hardware

Option 1 ) Preserving Windows 10 OS supplied with MTR (Microsoft Windows Enterprise license is requried)

If your MTR system is brand new, connect hardware cables as described by the OEM vendor and connect Keyboard and mouse. Power-on the system and waiting until the following screen appear and press "Exit"

Select Administrator user and enter the password. Default is sfb

Press Start button and write "Netplwiz", than select Admin and remove flag "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer.

Write Adminitrator password. Default is sfb and press OK.

Reboot the system and the auto-login as administrator will happen, than enter into Family & Other users setting panel and select "Skype" than Remove.

Set the small display as secondary extended mode display


1) Set the small monitor of the MTR as a secondary display.

Each MTR manufacturer may have set a registry key to set the MTR's small display as the primary. It is necessary to remove this key to prevent the system from setting the small monitor as primary at each reboot. The registry key is located in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

2) Set the same dpi on all connected displays

It's very important to set the same dpi on each connected displays. The small display must have lower resolution set respect the big display.

3) Configuring the touch for small and others connected touch displays

Enter into Windows Control Panel and select Tablet PC Settings

Press Setup and than Touch Input

Touch the touchscreen that is asked to touch ("Touch this screen to identify it as touchscreen"). If it is not a touchscreen, press [Enter].

Press [Enter] when it asks you to. Repeat the procedure for each monitor connected : Touch the touchscreen that is asked to touch ("Touch this screen to identify it as touchscreen"). If it is not a touchscreen, press [Enter].

Restart the computer and verify if the touch still works on both screens (you cannot use the touch of both screens simultaneously). Now install all the required software and follow the standard Valarea POD setup guide.

Option 2) Install Valarea POD on Windows 10 Ent (Fresh install)

This section outlines how to set up a meeting room console from the Windows system.

Valarea POD is compatible in meeting room configurations where meeting room consoles are set up.

These small-sized touchscreen monitors are usually located on the meeting room table and are connected to the meeting room’s compute device. In meeting rooms where Valarea POD might be found, this compute device will be running Windows 10 operating system.

Display configuration

To set up Valarea POD for meeting room consoles from the Windows system, please follow these steps:

  1. On the Windows system, while the meeting room console is connected, go to Settings > System > Display to show the display panel settings.

  2. Here, you will see the displays connected to the Windows system. Identify which of the screens is the meeting room controller, then place it to the left or the right of the other display, as follows:

3. The display console setting must be set to a lower resolution than the primary external display, and the same dpi scaling setting must also be set.

4. You may now close the display settings and proceed with the application setup.

TIPS: If after the correct configuration and installation of Valarea POD the Console Display not show the UI of the controller, try the following workaround:

1) Close Valarea POD application (hold click or tap on Valarea Logo for 10 sec) 2) delete the config_display.json file located into c:\programdata\ValareaPOD\Launcher\ folder

3) Start Valarea POD Application
